Rev. Carrie Carnes first came to CUMC in September 2010 as a seminary intern; then was appointed as part-time in March 2011 and has now begun as a full time pastor.
Carrie moved to the area in September 2010 after she married Scott Carnes, the associate pastor at Pontiac United Methodist Church. The two had met previously when they were both students at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Carrie grew up in St. Louis, and attended Manchester United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Knox College.
Carrie has a heart for mission and justice. She has traveled extensively in Central and South America. She is also an amateur chef. She maintains a blog about food and theology. It can be found at http://www.anopentable.blogspot.com/.
