Blue Christmas
On December 21 at 4 p.m., Chenoa UMC will host a special Christmas service for those that mourn. Christmas should be a time of joy and celebration. For those who are wondering about the source of their next paycheck, it can be a time of great anxiety. For those who are missing loved ones, it can be a time of great pain. The Blue Christmas service will be a quiet time to recognize the pain that is often magnified at Christmas. We will light candles in memory of those that have died to prepare for the candles we will light on Christmas Eve for the coming of Christ.

Pancake Breakfast
On Dec. 6, Chenoa UMC's mission team will host a pancake and sausage breakfast. Breakfast will start at 8 a.m. and last until noon. All of the proceeds will benefit the mission team's trip to Gulfport, Mississippi. 12 adults from Chenoa UMC will be working on Hurricane Katrina recovery from Jan. 31 - Feb. 6.

In November the team hosted a spaghetti supper. Preliminary reports estimated that 175 people came for supper. When the receipts are all in, the spaghetti supper will surely have put a significant dent in the $2,500 goal for the trip.
