Spaggehti Supper will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26th.

Sunday School will be starting again on October 9th. We will be offering Sunday School for elementry, junior high and high school on the second Sunday of the month.

The Gospel of Mark: We will be studying the Gospel of Mark on Tuesday nights from Oct. 11-Nov. 22, 6-7 pm.

Service of Rememberance and Healing; Sept. 11, 9:15 am: On the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, we will be having a service of healing and rememberance. Communion will be celebrated and the choir will be singing.

United Methodist Women's Tea; Sept. 11: Join the UMW of this delightful afternoon of tea and sharing.

Church Meeting and Potluck; Sept. 18; 10:30 am: We will be celebrating some of our most charished memories of Chenoa UMC as well as begin discussing how we might invite God to help us plan for the coming years of continued ministry

Dave Ringenberg Guest Preaching; Sept. 4: Dave Ringenberg and his family will be joining us to share about thier time serving with Mission Aviation Fellowship.

New Classes- September

Love Wins; 6-7 pm Tuesdays beginning Sept. 6: We will be discussing Rob Bell's new book, Love Wins: A Book About Heaven, Hell and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived. We will discuss how Bell conceives of questions about heaven and hell, compare these with some of our own understandings of these issues and hopefully be both challenged and energized in the process.

Introducing One-Evening-Only Classes:
These classes are designed to give a breif over view of one specific topic. Please join us as topis of interest arise. We are also encouraging those considering membership to attend as many as possible.

How We Read the Bible; Sept. 8th 6-8 pm
One of the joys of reading the Bible and participating in Bible studies is discovering the many different meanings and insights each person can find in a given story. We will learn about some of the tools and lenses that people have used through time to help them find meaning in the Bible. We will also discuss what it means for the Bible to be true, where it came from and compare the different versions and translations on the market today...plus any number of other topics that might arise.

Old Testament 101; Sept. 22nd 6-8 pm

This will give a brief overview of the Old Testament, discussing how it was written and themes that we see appearing and re-appearing.

Pool-Party Potluck; 5-8 pm Aug. 19th at the Chenoa City Pool: Celebrate back to school and the kick-off to the fall schedule with a pool party and potluck. Dinner and fellowship will be at 5 with swimming starting at 6.

Garden Sharing; 10:30 am Aug. 28: In this area, summer is the time for great garden produce and fresh veggies. With so many gardening enthusiasts right here at CUMC, sharing garden surpluses with friends seemed like a no-brainer.

Guest Preaching; 9:15 am Aug. 28: Debbie and Jan from Fairbury UMC will be with us, exploring Imagine No More Maleria
